On the proper care, recalibration, and occasional persuasion of your browsing apparatus.

Salutations, traveller. If Rarefolio appears old on your device, your browser cache is serving a stale copy. Your device is not broken, it is simply behind schedule.

Browsers store local copies of pages to speed things up. Sometimes they hold those copies too long. The result is that you keep seeing yesterday while the current version is already live.

Indicators of a miscalibrated browser

Numbers, pricing, or block counts look old.
A collection update announced on social does not appear on your screen.
You refresh repeatedly and see no change.
Another person can view a newer version than you can.

The five-second recalibration

Universal quick protocol

Windows and Linux desktop: press Ctrl + Shift + R.

Mac desktop: press ⌘ + Shift + R.

Mobile: pull down to refresh, then fully close and reopen the tab if needed.

If stale content remains, find your device profile below and apply the specific fix.

Common cache-sensitive devices

Apple Safari on iPad and iPhone

Sealed vault behavior

Procedure: Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data → confirm.
Note: Safari usually clears broadly rather than by one single page.

iOS home screen web app mode

Pinned app snapshot behavior

Procedure: Remove the home screen icon, then reinstall from Safari.
Note: Pinned instances can hold stale app shell data longer than normal tabs.

In-app browsers (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok)

Procedure: Use app menu and choose Open in Safari or Open in Chrome.
Note: App webviews often apply aggressive cache policies and delayed refreshes.

Samsung Internet and older Android WebViews

Procedure: Settings → Privacy → Delete browsing data and clear cached files.
Note: Firmware and browser app updates reduce stale-cache behavior.

Kindle Fire Silk

Proxy-compressed dispatch behavior

Procedure: Clear browsing data in Silk, or use Firefox if available on the device.
Note: Proxy-mediated browsing can delay fresh content visibility.

Opera Mini, UC Browser, and proxy browsers

Procedure: Open Rarefolio in Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge for fresh live content.
Note: Proxy modes prioritize compression and can serve stale snapshots.

Full mechanical reset

When quick fixes do not work

Clear cookies and site data for rarefolio.io.
Delete old home-screen shortcuts, saved tabs, and stale bookmarks.
Fully quit the browser app, do not only minimize it.
Reopen and type rarefolio.io directly into the address bar.
